This DVD features the original cast Elly Fielding (Penny Cook), Bob Brown (Tony Martin), Sarah McKillop (Katrina Sedgewick), Lisa Bennett (Alyssa-Jane Cook), Chris Patchett (Paul Kelman), George Sullivan (Les Dayman), Martha O'Dare (Cecily Polson), Ernie Patchett (Vic Rooney), Paul Berry (Warren Jones), Rhonda Berry (Melanie Salomon) and Claire Fielding (Brooke Mikey Anderson).

The DVD also features the first appearances of David Fielding (Noel Hodda), Toni Windsor (Toni Peearen), Harley Kendrick (Malcolm Kennard), Alice Sullivan (Marianne Howard), Jo-Jo (Kelley Abbey) and Wheels (Marcus Graham).

In these 96 episodes two regular cast members meet a grisly end, E Street's first bad boy Sam Bulmer manipulates the residents of E Street, and three of the shows biggest romances Elly and Bob, Lisa and Wheels and Toni and Harley are featured on DVD for the very first time.
